16 Feb 2012 - New Holland Construction Wins FinOvation Award for 200 Series Skid Steers
New Holland Construction was honored by Farm Industry News magazine with their FinOvation Award in the skid steer loader category for the new 200 Series skid steers. Farm Industry News is a monthly magazine that provides high-income farmers with information about new products and technology for the farm.
From the hundreds of new agricultural products that appeared in Farm Industry News or on farmindustrynews.com in 2011, the FinOvation Award winners, including New Holland Construction, were recognized as being the most innovative based on reader interest. For the first time in FinOvation history, this year, readers are invited to select their top three favorite products out of all 22 on farmindustrynews.com. Based on the voting results, Farm Industry News will name the Product of the Year winner out of the 22 FinOvation products. The Product of the Year winner will be announced at the 2012 National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Feb. 15-18, 2012.
“New Holland Construction is honored by this recognition for innovation by Farm Industry News,” said Jim Hasler, vice president of CNH Construction, North America. “The introduction of the 200 Series skid steer loaders extends New Holland Construction’s category leadership that began 40 years ago with the introduction of the industry’s first skid steer loader with ROPS and a vertical lift boom system in 1972.”
According to Farm Industry News, “New Holland Construction wowed the crowds at the National Farm Machinery Show with its new line of skid steer and compact track loaders. The line includes seven skid steer models and three new compact track loader models, which makes it one of the largest loader introductions for New Holland. The company redesigned the loaders with extensive input from operators in the field. As a result, these loaders feature easy serviceability, machine stability, more comfort and visibility in the cab, and a Super Boom. The Super Boom offers more forward dump height and reach and a preset location during a lift cycle.”
With the 200 Series, New Holland Construction maintains the best-in-class forward dump height and reach with the Super Boom® loader vertical lift design – and introduces breakthrough productivity improvements. Featuring the widest, most comfortable cab in the industry, these new machines provide more head and foot room, and offer superior visibility in critical zones. The new skid steers culminate five years of customer research, design and engineering improvements.
The New Holland L218, L220, L223, L225 and L230 skid steer loaders feature the patented vertical lift Super Boom® design, delivering best-in-class forward dump height and reach. These five models are rated from 57 hp (42 kW) to 84 hp (63 kW). The L218 has an operating weight of 5,850 lbs (2,660 kg) and a bucket breakout force of 5,435 lbs (24.2 kN). The L230 has an operating weight of 8,300 lbs (3,765 kg) and a bucket breakout force of 8,585 lbs (38.2 kN).
With the new Super Boom loader arm, New Holland skid steer loaders deliver superior lift and reach. Unlike competitive models, they can load material to the center of trucks, finishing jobs faster. The 53-degree dump angle on the 200 Series skid steer loaders is also best in class. This lets operators empty the bucket faster, increasing cycle times and productivity.
New Holland also introduced two compact models in the 200 Series, the L213 and L215. Each features a radial lift design, providing excellent digging performance. These smaller models are outfitted with full-size cabs and premium features, including air ride seats, heat, air conditioning, Glide Ride, and self-leveling bucket.
The L213 is rated at 43 hp (31.8 kW), with a rated operating capacity of 1,300 lbs (590 kg) and a bucket breakout force of 4,150 lbs (18.5 kN). The L215 is rated at 49 hp (36.3 kW), with a rated operating capacity of 1,500 lbs (680 kg) and a bucket breakout force of 4,150 lbs (18.5 kN).
In North America, New Holland Construction sells and services compact products and associated attachments – including the successful skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, tractor loaders, loader backhoes, compact wheel loaders and compact excavators – to customers in the landscaping, utility, residential construction and agriculture industries, among others.
