o Mini excavator range expands to 7 models with new E55B SR
Focus on New Holland’s Tier 4 interim offering
New Holland’s display at Intermat 2012 showcases the brand’s impressive Tier 4 interim compliant offering and is testament to its long-term commitment to developing powerful machines with exceptionally low fuel consumption and emissions.
New Holland benefits greatly from its close collaboration with sister company FPT Industrial, which pioneered low emissions engine technologies and in particular, since 2004, Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology. This has resulted in New Holland’s SCR solution, which features prominently throughout the stand – inside many of the products on show and in FPT Industrial’s display. With New Holland’s SCR solution, Tier 4 interim emissions standards are met without particulate filter and exhaust gas recirculation. The optimised combustion, fed by fresh air only, delivers more power with less fuel, while the cooling and oil systems are not affected.
New Holland’s product renewal programme is on schedule to complete its full offering of Tier 4 interim products by the end of 2012, having reached the 90% milestone with the models launched at Intermat 2012.
A stand bursting with new introductions
Among the novelties New Holland is launching at Intermat 2012 are the new C Series crawler excavators and wheel loaders, including the 9-ton payload W300C on display, the complete four-model backhoe loader range and the compact “all-access” LM625 telehandler. New Holland is also previewing the new-generation E140C SR short radius excavator, which will reach the markets later in the year.
The innovations are not limited to product: New Holland is also introducing its new telematics system, which will enable construction businesses to track and monitor the performance of every unit in their fleet and optimise the utilisation of their equipment and resources.
New E55B SR: heavy excavator technology in an ultra compact machine
New Holland’s mini excavator offering is extended with the addition of a new model at the top end of the range. The 5.3-ton E55B SR shares with New Holland’s heavy excavators the Smart Hydraulic technology that relies on three integrated pumps to deliver accurate dozer operation, total simultaneous movements, exceptional power and smooth operation under heavy loads.
The machine tail only exceeds the tracks’ width by a few centimetres when swinging, combining great stability and impressive lifting capacity with the benefits of a Short Radius mini excavator. This makes the E55B SR the ideal machine for demanding jobs in the tightest spaces. In addition, the standard Proportional Control of the auxiliary hydraulics, which is ergonomically placed on the right joystick, enables the operator to work with great precision.
The Short Radius tail, together with the exceptional digging depth and the Smart Hydraulic system that enables an upper frame rotation in less than 7 seconds, results in extremely short loading cycle times and high productivity.
Offering Built Around You
New Holland’s comprehensive approach to supporting the customer will also be reflected on its stand, where its full offering of services will be represented as well as the complementary offering of Iveco vehicles well suited to construction businesses. The Iveco vehicles on the stand will include a Trakker heavy truck, which is particularly well suited for on- and off-road transport of aggregates and construction materials; a Stralis truck, an ASTRA dumper truck, a versatile Eurocargo truck and a Daily van. The display will be completed by one of the vehicles that participated in the Overland project, which was established in 1996 to highlight humanitarian issues and help local communities in need around the world.
Also on the stand
Visitors to the New Holland stand will also be able to enjoy entertaining Parkour shows, where athletes will demonstrate their skill in moving on and around the equipment with speed and precision. Children, on the other hand, will be able to recreate a job site in the play area with toy ride-on New Holland excavators.
